World Environment Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm by Green Peace School Eco club on 5th June 2017. Students and staff participated in plantation drives to make their surrounding green. The theme resolute for the World Environment Day 2017 is ‘Connecting People to Nature”.

        An awareness rally was held. The rally was taken out with full dynamism under the leadership of GPS Eco club with the aim to bring issues like safe waste disposal under the public domain. More than 100 students took to the streets to highlight sensitive issues of environment. The rally aimed at encouraging the public to actively participate in the celebration and also keep their environment clean and healthy to lead a better life.

  Students raised slogans and displayed posters regarding different environmental issues.

Principal of the school motivated the students to plant more and more trees in order to make the surroundings green and plant more trees in their surroundings and also suggested that government take steps to improve the quality of environment.
